Mars
From ErrantryWiki
In Earth's solar system, the fourth planet from the sun. (See the master entry on Mars at Wikipedia for all the pertinent merely physical data.)
Mars is a favorite destination for wizards on Earth who have time or a reason to pass that way. This is probably not just because it is both the most Earthlike planet in our solar system and a next-door neighbor. Even for wizards there is a sense of mystery hanging about the place, for the Manual has been surprisingly silent on its past history, especially the issue of whether Mars was ever inhabited.
Kit is one of many wizards who have acquired a fascination with the planet, and he has taken to visiting it nearly as often as he does the Moon. (He has also gotten Nita in some slight trouble by carving her dad's cellphone number on a rock there.) (WH) His fascination appears to be for more than the "merely real" Mars, however: while traveling with Ponch through alternate universes, one world they "find" holds an alternate Mars apparently identical to Barsoom, in which the Martian novels of Edgar Rice Burroughs are set. (TWD)
Dairine stops briefly on Mars on her Ordeal, visiting the top of Olympus Mons and finding the beacon left there by a group of climber-tourists from a planet many lightyears away. (HW)
