Is the end of the first sentence in the fifth paragraph supposed to read "the culture of 23rd-century Earth remains sevarfrith"? I can't get the paragraph to make sense otherwise.

Also, this is a truly minor typo, but you presumably want another hyphen in the dash in the first sentence of the fourth paragraph.
