[edit] Clarification of what things have kernels
From the construct article:
- ... something built to mimic or closely reproduce the effect of being a living creature, while not actually being alive in any of the normal senses. ... The wizardly definition of life also normally implies the presence of a kernel or soul; ...
- Additionally, construct status normally deprives the matter involved in its structure of even the minor sentience experienced by what science would consider inanimate objects.
So then, do rocks, cars and such (inanimate objects Kit can talk to) have their own kernels?
Also, if I remember correctly, it was said in AWAB that nations can have souls of their own. Do they also have kernels? I wonder what a wizard could do to a nation by manipulation its kernel. -- Khym Chanur 07:21, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
