The Main Library at 5th & 42ndTaken as a whole, the entire public library system of the City of New York (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_York_Public_Library).
No - the New York Public Library system covers the boroughs of Manhattan, Staten Island, and the Bronx. The Brooklyn Public Library serves Brooklyn, the Queens Public Library serves Queens, and both are completely separate library systems. As DD knows, the City of New York consists of all 5 boroughs.
