Talk:Rodriguez, Carmela E.
From ErrantryWiki
Nitpick: In TWD, Carmela is referred to as taking Kit's wizardry calmly, "for an otherwise excitable fifteen-year-old". Since he seems to have been thirteen both in HW, when he told them, and in TWD when this passage appears, it sounds as if she was only two years older. (And, as Helena had just left for college and is presumably 18, that puts her about halfway between.)
This is a reference to near the beginning of "Friday Night", p67 of the Magic Carpet paperback.

Oh dear, more nitpicking. Wasn't it HW, not DW, when Kit told his parents/family he was a wizard, so that he could go with Nita to rescue Dairine? I should ration my nitpicks...

Hmm...PM, I think it might be safe to say that timelines are pointless. They're hard enough to do in real life, and anyway when you have the ability (though probably not the authorization) to fiddle with standard sequential time, timelines really aren't terribly helpful. Just hover outside of time like the Powers, and DD, do, and you'll be fine. =P --Sharky 14:11, 19 Jul 2006 (EDT)
- I dissent. :-P --Moeen 19:40, 20 Jul 2006 (EDT)
I have to agree with Moeen. (PS, tx for the heads-up on that page that needed locking.) One of the things that will be happening when we finalize the contract for the next three books will be getting the publisher to commit to staged reprintings of all the early books -- in which timeline issues are going to be addressed, ages brought into line, and some other minor (but important) changes made. So that timeline is going to be very useful eventually (and thank you, Peter, for all the hard work). More about this as it happens. --DianeDuane 04:09, 23 Jul 2006 (EDT)
- You're welcome DD. Concerning a timeline, I have also made an attempt at one, which you can find on my userpage here at the EC. It's not as detailed as Peter's attempt, but it is concise, and there are a few differences between them that are probably worth thinking about when you try and construct your own. In any case, hope you find it helpful! --Moeen 01:07, 9 Aug 2006 (EDT)
