Hence, in order for Kit to have skipped a grade, but be in the same grade as Nita, he must have been born the year before Nita, so I will be assuming this henceforth.

He was born the year after Nita. He's a year younger than her, as is stated several times in the text.

If you like books with magic you might like Harry Potter, if you haven't already tried it. Also the Tail of Emily Windsnap is good if you like the ocean. It is also a series. Another book is Half-Magic, but depending on your reading level it may be too simple for you. It is a good enjoyable book. And verrrrry old! --Balletwiz 23:01, 11 Jun 2007 (EDT)

Thanks for the suggestions! I've read Harry Potter so far, but haven't tried the others. Personally, I don't have a lot of time these days for fiction, between graduate school and all the others things I have plans for. I'd been hoping to try out a few of Dianna Wynn Jones's works, but haven't even gotten around to that. The only fiction I've read lately are the new Gargoyles comics. You might try them out yourself when you get the chance. I read a lot of non-fiction these days.
