Apparently the cold cut / luncheon meat of choice in the Callahan household. At least, it appears to be Dairine's favorite, and there are various other references to it in the canon.

During her intervention on the Motherboard world, Dairine seems to subsist almost entirely on bologna-and-mustard sandwiches made from the supply of bologna and bread she's keeping in her otherspace pocket. Since she does not come down with food poisoning during this period, and there's no mention of Dairine having installed a refrigeration routine in the pocket, the implication would seem to be that some kind of stasis obtains inside it.
