There are many forms of the Provocodictory, but several are extremely popular, and their use has become widespread across many worlds. One of these, frequently used on Earth -- "Fairest and Fallen, greeting and defiance!" -- is said to be derived from the format of the original challenge that the Michael Power issued to the Lone One in the Speech at the beginning of the Cosmomachy.
